Walking distance from the Sacred Monkey Forest, Helene's House sits on Jalan Bisma, a one-way street running through the very centre of Ubud, Bali's cultural heartland. This is a rare Ubud villa from which you can wander to dinner, a gallery opening or a traditional dance performance and stroll home again under the frangipani trees. The Campuhan Ridge Walk, Ubud Palace and the town's morning market are also all a short ride away, while the rice UNESCO heritage rice terraces, holy water temples and volcano country of central Bali unfold to the north. Ngurah Rai International Airport is about 60 to 90 minutes by car, depending on traffic conditions.
